Called "The Dependents", it tells the story of 16 year old Tara Morgan, who is a shy and nervous girl that becomes bonded with an intelligent "blob-monster". It gives her confidence while she allows it to exist as a monster at night, attacking only criminals. Running away from home, Tara finds herself involved with the very criminals she targets, and she is finding it more difficult to control the entity inside her as it wants to exist and kill.

I am working on the second issue, and not wanting to spoil to much for you. Tara might not have crossed the line completely, like with all the others, and not that she could ever make that up to someone. But she does try and make up for it immediately.
It's not really the type of book I'd normally pick up, but it was pretty cool none-the-less. Looking forward to seeing where you'll take Tara in #2.
One thing: I don't think the PDF format really does the art justice - there's some graininess (is that a word?) to it when I zoom in to read the lettering...
But I bet it'll look even better when it's in print.

The graininess come from the fact that it's a lineart tiff file. I was told it had to be a tiff file for the internet. there not really good for blowing up art. When it gets reduced for the printed book it should go back to normal.
That's kinda the reason I scan all my art as photo jpegs when I post on DA.
You going to ECCC this year?
Cool. This was the first thing I'd downloaded from Wowio, and I know it's been pretty popular with comic artists - I'm just wondering if all of the e-comics on there are like that, or if there's a way to preserve the quality better.
I'd seen some of the pics you posted here for the book, so I already knew it looked good.
We're planning on going to the Con - depends on having the money and my wife getting time off of work. But I should see you there (fingers crossed).
